Evolution as Evidence Against Christianity

The most devastating thing, though, that biology did to Christianity was the discovery of biological evolution. Now that we know that Adam and Eve never were real people, the central myth of Christianity is destroyed. If there never was an Adam and Eve, there never was an original sin. If there never was an original sin, there is no need of salvation. If there is no need of salvation, there is no need of a saviour. And I submit that puts Jesus, historical or otherwise, into the ranks of the unemployed. I think that evolution is absolutely the death knell of Christianity.

  1. If, If, If. Mr. Zindler piles 'ifs' by the bushel onto the rickety assertion that '
    since evolution...'.
I won't rattle on about the lack of scientific basis for the ultimate faith in randomness. The blogger has no doubt heard them & discounted them. I will say that just the other day, a biology PhD asserted to me with a straight face that the laws of probability don't govern evolution because, 'open system', and 'complexity', and--well, just because. Biology ignores physics, mathematics and chemistry to arrive at a non-model that explains nothing & violates the most basic of scientific fundamentals. But, true enough, even Darwin saw its political implications, writing that evolution would sound the death knell of the inferior red, black & yellow races.
